Derek Bridge is a Senior Lecturer with over 30 years’ experience in Computer Science & AI research and education, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He is best known for his work in recommender systems and in case-based reasoning. Within these fields, he has, for example, made sustained contributions to work on similarity, diversity, explanations and conversation. He has won a total of seven best paper prizes in international refereed conferences and journals. He serves on numerous programme committees including the International Conference on Case-Based Reasoning and the ACM Conference on Recommender Systems, both of which he has co-chaired.
